narrating the same landscape
A Fluid Geography of Self explores the journey of returning to a familiar landscape with intention, attuning to the subtle shifts in how we see and understand the world around us. In collaboration, we use the body and the land as tools of reimagination, blurring the boundaries between self and environment. The work invites reflection on belonging, memory, and the transformations that arise when we reconnect with a place and with ourselves. Through this project, we seek to reshape the meaning of everyday experiences, questioning what new stories can emerge when we listen closely and engage with the spaces we inhabit.
In collaboration with Euan Stamper who is studying Scottish Literature. A love of learning and the possibility of new employment opportunities inspired them to re-engage with education after ten years of working. Coming to higher education from a non-traditional route, Euan is interested in how learning environments can be diversified; hoping the exhibition will give a platform to the talent of students across the university, and celebrate the nuance and richness of student experiences.
